On 1 September 2025, Sticky Digital turns 20.

Two decades of growth, innovation, and results — not just for our agency, but for the hundreds of businesses we’ve partnered with along the way.

From Traditional Media to Digital Pioneers

Our story began long before the “digital” in Sticky existed. Originally operating as a traditional full-service agency, we worked in television, radio, and newspaper advertising, producing campaigns that reached audiences through the channels of the day.

But as the internet reshaped how people discover and engage with brands, we knew change wasn’t optional — it was essential.

Craig Wilson bought the agency on 1 September 2005, we began transitioning to become Newcastle’s first dedicated digital marketing agency. That early move positioned us at the forefront of an industry in transformation.

Riding the Digital Wave

The mid-2000s ushered in a new era of marketing. Google became the default gateway to the world. Facebook and YouTube changed how content was shared and consumed. Blogging opened the door for brands to publish and own their stories. Twitter redefined real-time communication.

While many agencies clung to the old models, we embraced this shift wholeheartedly — developing expertise in SEO, content marketing, digital strategy, and performance advertising. This adaptability helped us work not just with local and regional businesses, but also with national and international brands across Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and Europe.

Over the years, we’ve partnered with organisations of all sizes — from ambitious local start-ups to globally recognised companies. Our portfolio has included Colliers International, Caltex, Terry White Chemists, Lake Macquarie City Council, Providence Ripley (Qld), Kawahai Point (NZ), Promax / Wipro (Aus, US, Eur) and many more.

We’ve also been proud to work with and support charities and not-for-profits such as the Australian Cancer Research Foundation, SANE Australia, The Kaden Centre and the World Society for the Protection of Animals.
